Brittany was born and raised in south Texas. She grew up having dogs around throughout her childhood. While working in the pet industry as a kennel technician and doggie daycare handler, she realized that she could build a career working with dogs. Brittany received her dog training education from Kennelwood Academy’s Dave van Garderen and Jeremy Ciepluch. In doing so, her true passion of helping people communicate with their dogs ignited. Brittany has been professionally training dogs since 2017 and has worked with dogs of all breeds and backgrounds. “I’m excited about working at Kennelwood to help humans and dogs communicate effectively and clearly.”
Brittany has 3 dogs of her own, a Belgian Malinois named Monty, a Labrador Retriever named Kenny, and an English Bulldog named Sassy. Brittany and her 3 best friends have accomplished competing in Dock Diving, Nose work Trials and AKC Obedience and Trick Trials. She hopes to continue learning and strengthening her skills in competing in many different dog sports. When she’s not training dogs, Brittany enjoys being outdoors and cooking.
