From an early age, Tyler has loved animals. Throughout his life he has stayed active in the dog community, both professionally and on a volunteer basis. Growing up in a household with breeding dogs, and he would help with everything, from assisting with the births to socializing the puppies. In high school, he helped out the local fire department in aiding their search and rescue program by volunteering as a live find for the dogs. After high school, he started work as a training assistant under Nick Hall, who recommended he pursue a career as a pet trainer.

Tyler trained at the Tom Rose School for Professional Dog Trainers, and graduated with both a Professional and Master Graduate Certification. Now, in addition to working at Kennelwood, Tyler serves as a decoy for PSA and he uses his personal dog, Jett as a demo dog. What he loves most about working as a pet trainer is being able to make a difference in the lives of others and he enjoys the sense of accomplishment he feels when improving the relationships between his clients and their pets.
