Influenced by her veterinarian uncle, Katelyn has had a passion for animals her whole life. At the age of fourteen she was gifted a Rottweiler puppy that excelled through puppy class up to competition obedience. It was then that Katelyn knew she wanted to continue her knowledge in training dogs and make it a career. In January of 2014, Katelyn attended the Tom Rose School for professional dog trainers. There, she acquired two puppies and trained them in competition obedience, scent detection, protection, and tracking. After graduating from the professional program she enrolled in the master program where she extended her learning in search and rescue, cadaver search, scent detection, tracking, and advanced competition obedience. She believes that every dog has a purpose whether that be a family companion or a working police K9. Aside from training her own dogs, she absolutely loves working with therapy and service dogs. It brings her great joy in knowing that her training can have such a huge impact on the lives of others. Katelyn is committed to helping clients live more comfortably with their loyal companions and she shares her passion by teaching dog owners how to clearly and effectively communicate with their dogs. She currently owns a German Shepherd Dog named Rush, and a Belgian Malinois named Nala.
