Dave began his career with canines at the young age of 16. His first job with dogs was at Quinciera Kennels in Paradise Valley, Montana. Dave quickly realized his passion for training and enrolled in the Tom Rose School for Professional Dog Trainers.
Dave excelled at the Tom Rose School and graduated with honors in Tracking, and after receiving his certification, decided that his training education was not over. He traveled to Sao Paulo, Brazil, to focus on aggressive dog training — graduated from J.E Dog Training Center in Brazil with honors in canine aggression.
In 2001, Dave accepted a position at Kennelwood Pet Resorts. Since then he has trained thousands of pets. Dave spends his spare time training for and showing in AKC Obedience and the sports of PSA and Schutzhund and has been awarded multiple High in Trial awards in both AKC and Schutzhund. Dave has stood on the podium at many regional and national level events.
To date, Dave’s proudest accomplishment is qualifying and competing in the 2011 World Schutzhund Competition in Germany. Some of Dave’s other great accomplishments are being awarded the 2011 PSA (Protection Sport Association) highest Score of the year in level one. He also won 1st place at the SchutzhundVPG III Nationals in 2010. In addition, he has placed 2nd for the VPG II Nationals in 2009 and 1st place for the VPG I Nationals in 2008.
