In 1890, William H. Danforth founded Purina. His grandson, Donald Danforth, Jr., founded Kennelwood Village in 1974. Indeed, for more than a Century the family behind Kennelwood has been a leading pet advocate in the St. Louis-region. To this day Kennelwood continues the Danforth’s longstanding commitment to ensure the ethical treatment and safety of animals and to create connections between families and pets in need of love and good homes.
