| 2nd Annual Dobie Birthday Party | | Kennelwood Pet Resorts hosted Midwest Doberman Rescue's Second Annual Birthday Party. It was held on October 21, 2007. The day included an assortment of activities, speakers, and games with wonderful prizes. The guest speakers were; Dave van Garderen from Kennelwood Pet Resorts and his dog, Stewart. Dave and Stewart performed an excellent training demonstration for all to enjoy. Cathy Ellebrecht from the Animal Emergency Clinic spoke about the benefits of dogs donating blood for St. Louis Animal Blood Bank and Reverend Lois Yatzeck from United Church of Christ blessed the Dobermans in attendance. In addition, Dr. Yaro spoke about Doberman health issues. There was a Halloween costume contest and some of the dogs were evaluated and passed their Canine Good Citizen tests. Kennelwood Groom Techs were on hand to trim the Doberman's nails. Debbie McReynolds, President of Midwest Doberman Rescue was presented with a framed certificate for her tireless dedication in saving so many Dobermans. Finally, Kennelwood donated a generous gift certificate as a raffle prize for the fun day! | | Back to Events |
