From aggression to jumping on couches to basic obedience – some pets have a more difficult time than others adapting to the home life of their Pet Parents. Here are some frequently asked questions about training (and see more about our training services here):

Trainer

Professional trainers work with a number of problem behaviors including; aggression, front door manners, jumping on counters, door dashing, not coming when called, basic obedience and management issues such as grooming, feeding, housebreaking, sleeping, and new puppy start up. Sometimes seeing the home environment and how the pet interacts with family members can greatly help with the evaluation process.

You don’t need a lot of space for most training exercises. If you need more room for a particular command, you can take your dog outside.

You can start training as early as 9 weeks or as soon as your puppy has the second set of Distemper inoculations.

The best way to determine which training program is best suited to your needs is to call the Kennelwood training department at 314-446-1025 and speak to a trained professional. You will be asked some questions and then directed to a trainer for more details. You and your trainer can then personalize your training program.
