Personal Dog Training
Few pet owners realize how confident and happy
a well trained pet can be. Dogs are social animals and they
want to communicate
and please their owners. Since you and your dog speak different
languages, teaching the dog to understand and follow five basic
commands will make life easier and more fun for both of you. Personal
Training programs are designed with flexibility to meet the
needs of both the owner and pet. Kennelwood's Certified Professional
Dog Trainers will train your pet in just a few short weeks!
Pets
learn the five basic commands of Heel, Come, Sit, Down, and
Stay, in addition to modifying various behavior problems. Prior
to
enrolling your pet we offer a FREE Training Evaluation to assess
not only your dog's training aptitude, but to discover what
training goals you are looking to achieve with your pet. The
Personal
Training Programs include handling lessons with the owner and
Lifetime Training Support to assist you in maintaining your
pet's level of training education.
Day Training
Our Day Training Program is the perfect solution
for owners who want their pet trained, but don’t wish
to board their pet overnight. The pet is dropped off each morning,
our trainer works
with the pet during the day and then the owner picks up
their
pet in the evening. This program is specifically designed
to create a training partnership between the trainer, owner
and pet. One of our Kennelwood professionals will quickly train
your
pet in just a few weeks. Your pet will learn the six basic
on-leash commands of Climb, Heel, Come, Down, Sit and Stay.
We
can also
work on modifying negative behavior patterns your pet may
be exhibiting at home. Throughout the Day Training process,
you will meet one-on-one with your pet's Personal Trainer during
intervals scheduled at your convenience to review accomplishments
and discuss exercises your and your pet will have for homework.
Our Day Training program is three (3) consecutive weeks
to
ensure
the very best results for you and your pet.
Baby Steps
Are you expecting a baby and worried how your dog
will react? This course will educate you on how to introduce
your pet
to your newborn, and to make sure your dog is ready
for the new
experience of having a baby in the house. Everyone
will learn the impact a baby has on the family pet and how
best to deal
with different situations. Kennelwood Pet Resort is
here for you before, during and after the big event! Class
size is 6
to 14 people. The entire family is encouraged to attend.Class
will
be held at the Kennelwood Pet Academy - Corporate Office.
No pets are allowed in this class.
Board 'n Train
This program is the answer for the owner who loves
their pet, but doesn’t have the time for training
at home. Let one of our Kennelwood professionals
train your dog during the day
and board him at our first class facilities at night.
We handle all of the training and care-taking 24
hours a day. Your pet
will learn on-leash the basic commands of Heel, Climb,
Come, Sit, Down and Stay. This program has all the
learning advantages
of Day Training, but your pet boards with us the
entire time they are being trained.
Prior to enrolling
in either Day Training or Board 'n Train we offer
a FREE Training Evaluation to discus
your
training
goals
and the time required to effectively train your dog
to meet your expectations. Call the Kennelwood location
