March 12 ( 2009) Kennelwood Pet Resorts is offering FREE baths for puppies six months and younger, as well as, a FREE puppy training evaluation at any of our six locations, in celebration of National Puppy Day on Monday, March 23rd! Puppies bring so much unconditional love and joy into our lives that Kennelwood would like to dedicate a full day to puppies in the St. Louis area. A FREE puppy bath will include a bath and blow dry, nail trimming, ear cleaning, paw pad trimming, a dental check-up, and a fresh smelling cologne. All puppies participating in the FREE bath must have two sets of puppy inoculations.
Bathing puppies at a young age is very important for more reasons than just keeping the puppy clean and smelling fresh. Bathing offers the opportunity for young puppies to socialize and get acclimated to the spa experience. Kennelwood encourages puppy parents to begin having their puppy bathed or groomed once they have their two sets of puppy inoculations, as it allows for the puppy to acclimate to being away from home, being touched by foreign hands, and will allow the puppy as he or she grows older to enjoy the spa experience to its fullest.
Pet parents will also have the opportunity to receive a free puppy training evaluation at any of our six locations. This evaluation includes an appointment with one of Kennelwood’s personal trainers to discuss a puppy parent’s current training needs or problems. Training your puppy is fun and useful in developing a well behaved puppy and strong bond between you and your new best friend. “Starting training at an early age starts a life long communication process between you and your pet. It also shows your puppy what is expected of him or her, which minimizes stress and confusion about rules says, Kennelwood’s Personal Trainer, Dave Van Garderen.
