October 15 ( 2008) The ghosts and goblins of Kennelwood Pet Resorts invite you to bring your canine kids to Kennelwood on Friday, October 31, 2008 for our Doggie DayCamp HOWL-oween party and Pet Sleepover. There will be lots of delicious treats, games, contests, and funny costumes! Scooby Doo himself will even be there to greet our Page and Lindbergh guests . As usual, no pet will leave with empty paws. Pet parents and our pet guests will all leave with a special Kennelwood treat bag. This party promises to be a dog-gone good time!

Pets can be dropped off early on Friday, October 31, and then the fun begins. The dogs will enjoy a full day of DayCamp, where they will play and socialize with other pets their own size and temperament. A Kennelwood Doggie DayCamp Counselor will be on hand at all times to supervise play and ensure lots of activity. Pets can be picked up Friday evening or continue the party all night with our Sleepover celebration. The Sleepover is not just for DayCampers. Each guest that spends the night at Kennelwood will have the option to choose from two spook-tacular packages. The Pumpkin Patch Playtime, which includes personal playtime, Howl-oween scarf, and a tasty treat or the Dare Devil Doggie DayCamp, which includes Doggie, DayCamp, Howl-oween scarf, and a tasty treat.

The Kennelwood Pet Resorts HOWL-oween Sleepover is great fun, but it also provides a safe place for pets on this holiday. Halloween poses many safety issues for pets and here are just a few:
 Loud and excessive noises created by trick-or-treaters frighten pets.
 Pets around candles and lit pumpkins are dangerous.
 Candy is not for pets. Chocolate is toxic for many animals and the foil or cellophane wrappers can be hazardous if swallowed.
 Pets left alone in the backyard on Halloween can be dangerous. Vicious pranksters have been known to tease, injure or steal pets on this night.
 Be careful that pet’s do not escape out an open door while candy is being handed to trick-or-treaters.

So keep your pet safe and stress-free this Halloween by signing them up for the DayCamp HOWL-oween party and Sleepover at Kennelwood Pet Resorts. Space is limited! For reservations call the Kennelwood location near you. It’s going to be a fang-tastic HOWL-oween at Kennelwood!
