Christmas has come and gone, Santa has returned to the North Pole from visiting the Kennelwood pets for his 27th annual “Santa Comes to the Pets” event, and Kennelwood is now ready to announce the donation made to the Goldens of Dirk’s Fund, a St. Louis based rescue group for Golden Retrievers. On a very exciting April 1st , Kennelwood Pet Resorts President/Co-Owner, Alan Jones and Vice President of Brand Development/Co-owner, Chris Danforth presented a donation check to Bob Tilay, President of Dirk’s Fund in the amount of $4,800 in honor of Kennelwood’s “Santa Comes to the Pets” fundraising effort.
“Santa Comes to the Pets” was introduced to provide pets and pet parents a memorable photo opportunity with Santa. Proceeds from this event annually go to a chosen charity or rescue group that is special to our company. “We have chosen to give the donation this year to Dirk’s Fund because week after week on Saturdays and Sundays at Kennelwood’s Love Park location, we see the dedication and commitment put forth to finding the Dirk’s Fund Goldens a safe and healthy home. We believe in their efforts and strongly support the efforts of Dirk’s Fund,” said Kennelwood’s President, Alan Jones. Kennelwood has a special partnership with Dirk’s Fund where we not only host adoptions at Kennelwood’s Love Park location, but we also provide space for healthy vaccinated Dirk’s Fund dogs to board at our facility.
Kennelwood is proud to say that with our donation Dirk’s Fund was able to pay an entire month of veterinarian expenses, as well as, purchase some collars and leashes. Kennelwood would like to thank our clients for their continued support of our “Santa Comes to the Pets” event; we could not do this event year after year without you. Kennelwood would also like to thank our employees for their hard work and dedication to the event each year allowing for a successful Santa visit. This goes to show when we work together as a business and a community, we can all make a great big difference! On behalf of Kennelwood, our employees and our clients we were very happy to help the critters of Dirk’s Fund this year!
