FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: April 4, 2008 CONTACT: Sarah Drew, Brand Development Coordinator, 314-446-1021

With each raindrop falling, the waters are rising, various parts of Missouri are flooding, and the animals are in danger. On April 2nd, Kennelwood Pet Resorts received a phone call from the St. Louis Humane Society inquiring if we have the availability to temporarily shelter 30 vaccinated, healthy, and adoptable dogs so that the Humane Society could open space at their Macklind location for those rescued animals from the floods overcoming Missouri. As Kennelwood had available space, we prepared our staff and facility for the incoming dogs. “The Kennelwood staff are all animal lovers and we were glad to provide assistance to these pets in need and the Humane Society Of Missouri during this difficult time with the threat of more flooding, said Alan Jones, President of Kennelwood. Part of our mission as a company is to be positively involved in the greater St. Louis community and this was an opportunity for us to help, stated Jones.
As each dog was unloaded from the Humane Society vehicle, Kennelwood staff individually greeted the dogs and walked them to their Kennelwood Pet Resort for the week. Each animal upon arrival was bathed, given special Kennelwood love, and placed in a private room to rest and relax. The staff at Kennelwood is thrilled to have our new Humane Society guests so much that even some of them are interested in adopting. We are so happy to help in a time of need to help save the lives of dogs!
