February 12, 2008 (St. Louis, MO) – Kennelwood Pet Resorts employees banded together last week to help Molly, a10 year old Yellow Lab, find her owners. Thursday, February 7th Kennelwood received a call from West County Animal Clinic about a Yellow Lab, Molly, who was found off Old Ballwin Road. Molly was cared for by the entire Kennelwood staff, from the Transportation Service to the Marketing Department, everyone saw to it that she felt at ease while her parents were being located.
Without a chip implant or tags, the veterinarian staff felt the only possible way to identify this mystery dog was by her Kennelwood Invisible Fence collar. Once informed, the Invisible Fence team quickly pulled their resources and began the process of figuring out who Molly belonged to. Through tedious record searching they discovered where Molly and her family lived. “It is great to see how the Kennelwood team together can accomplish great things,” said Jill Schwendemann, Kennelwood Invisible Fence Manager.
While the search for Molly’s parents continued, Kennelwood sent an Invisible Fence representative to Molly’s known address. The brave canine was then transported to Kennelwood Pet Resorts by the Bow Wow Bus, and was set to spend the weekend enjoying the suites and the staff at the Ballwin location until her owners could be found. Through several Kennelwood department’s support and ideas Molly’s parents were found and contacted Friday, February 8th. Kennelwood President Alan Jones said, “I’m very proud of the entire staff for coming together to help Molly find her family. It truly shows the trust, commitment, and loving care that each employee lives by everyday.” Molly was happily reunited with her family late Friday night and they could not be more thankful of the Kennelwood staff for caring for their pet as if she were their own.
