Job Description
Personal Trainer
This position supports the company through the animal training functions, client consultations, reporting and acting as the company representative at animal competitions and/or events. Duties include but are not limited to conducting consultations with clients regarding training needs and assessments, offer recommendation of services to be purchased to aid in training process, answer obedience questions as needed, coordinate work hours with manager(s) in order to optimize training services during peak business times, make and receive telephone calls for sales purposes, process company paperwork as related to job, including distribution of company literature to clients, identify potential training clients and their needs through conversation, rapport building and needs analysis and provide demonstrations during peak times to develop client’s interest and evaluate potential training needs.

Job Description
This position supports Kennelwood through driving a company vehicle to transport pets, interoffice mail, etc. It is essential the driver is punctual, reliable, has meticulous attention to detail and portrays a professional image. This individual must also have the ability to multi-task, communicate clearly and work independently.
The goal is to provide quality and efficient customer service to every customer – both internal and external. Job responsibilities for this position include loading/unloading pets that are to be transported, which require the ability to work in and around pet hair and dander. Must have the ability to work in all weather conditions, and lift over 50 lbs on a regular basis. The driver is also responsible for the delivery of all of Kennelwood’s inner-office mail/packages. A clean, safe driving record and a class E driver license are required. Experience in a similar role helpful, but not required. Training will be provided.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable team-oriented individual who is able to work under pressure and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. Responsible for processing customer orders/changes and department transactions according to established department policies and procedures; talking with customers by phone concerning orders, products and services and scheduling appointments; provides timely and accurate information to customers; informs customer of current prices, expected installation time, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed by customer and be able to communicate customer information clearly to other IF staff including installers. Basic understanding of maps is helpful.
This position requires excellent customer service, communication, and telephone skills, plus a strong desire to grow and learn with the company. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Prior experience working with computers in customer service, sales or pet care is helpful.

This position supports the company through the grooming services of animal clientele, a minimum of 6 months prior pet grooming experience is required. Most Stylists are Kennelwood-trained professionals that began their careers as Grooming Technicians and have advanced through our Stylist in Training program.
They provide haircuts, trims, styles and other salon-services to guests, as requested. Their primary responsibilities include providing quality care with a sharp instinct for animal safety, proper procedure and aesthetics. In addition, Stylists maintain client histories, work with Grooming Technicians, and assure that the customer is delighted with the Kennelwood experience.
It is essential that all are able to regularly stand for extended periods, lift at least 40 pounds, bend, stretch and work in and around pet hair and dander. Stylists must understand the character and habits of many different breeds. They must also be aware of the appearance standards, especially for show pets that are required to conform to very specific breed standards. This position at Kennelwood can be very rewarding for pet lovers. There is the opportunity to showcase artistic creativity and individual style.

Grooming Technicians that show excellent job performance and wish to advance their careers, skills and abilities may become a candidate for Kennelwood's Stylist in Training Program. In an effort to advance employee's careers and offer greater opportunities, the Stylist in Training Program was created. It is a paid 14-week program which is taught by our highly knowledgeable grooming instructors at Kennelwood. Students will have exposure to over 100 AKC recognized dog breeds, and fundamental grooming skills will be enhanced with advanced training in scissoring techniques. The majority of Kennelwood's current Stylists started off as Grooming Technicians who have worked their way up after successfully completing the Stylist in Training Program.

This position supports the company through the Pet Resort functions, assuring that every guest has a quality experience and receives quality care, time and attention during his/her stay at the Pet Resort. Hotel attendants ensure that food, water, medications and treats are given regularly. In addition, all guests’ areas are cleaned and sanitized. Attendants also ensure that animal guests have appropriate activities, exercise and potty breaks.
