Hi! My name is Derby. Somehow I landed myself in a local animal control facility. The shelter manager contacted Tenth Life. They handle special cases like me. I have a condition called microphthalmia, meaning “small eyes.” My eyes never fully developed and I am therefore blind. It is yet to be determined whether or not the rescue group will need to remove my eyes, but I will never see. My foster parent says I’m sweet and darling. I agree! I am a calm kitten who enjoys lying in your lap or snuggling up by your face. I follow the sound of your voice and timidly explores my environment, often bumping into things. I do consistently use the litter box and I’m a great eater! I need to be in a home where special accommodations can be made for me & where I will have another kitty to snuggle with, preferably her blind buddy Blakely.
