My name is Sophie. I am a blue chocolate Chihuahua. I have had a puppy mill experience. I was deemed, not too pretty, too big for my breed, and not very sellable. I was “worthless” to my breeder, and I was moved to the back of a shed out-of-sight, from people coming and going. I had no loving human contact, only fed and watered, and left by myself. Then, one fine day, my rescuers came. They had come a long way. When they saw me, I heard them talking. They didn’t think I was ugly. The lady had tears in her eyes, as they had to corner me to pick me up. I didn’t trust anyone then. She held me in her arms, as I trembled, and she promised me, I would never be alone again. She brought me to my foster, who loves me too. I still have problems with trust. It will take love and some time for me to adjust, but I am doing so much better already. I have been spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested, and I am micro-chipped.
